The True leader in barter software

February 23rd, 2011 by Alan Mink No comments »

Recently saw one of the barter software suppliers claiming to be the new leader! Not only a false claim but based on what criteria? Hope, wishful thinking? Claiming to be the leader when at best they are 4th or 5th in the number of exchanges using their software (out of 6 we even consider to be remotely relevant). Less than 2 years in business they do maybe 10% the monthy volume that The Trade Alliance does, have far fewer exchanges using their software, have far fewer total members in the network. What do they lead in? Hopefully anyone that is looking at barter software does their due diligence and learrns about anyone they intend to do business with. How big is the organization? How many exchanges use the software to run their business? (Do not confuse that with claims that they have x amount of exchanges in their network) We do not allow just any barter company to access our network as the others do. If you do not use The Trade Banc software then you do not have access to the offers and members. We support our software users by not allowing just any barter company to buy all the “goodies” leaving the network with the leftovers. Do you know that several of the software suppliers to the barter industry also run their own exchanges too?  Do you think it is a conflict of interest to supply software to someone and be a competitor too?

The Trade Alliance, the true leader in supplying barter software to the barter industry with 7 exchanges choosing The Trade Alliance software to run their exchange in just the last 7 weeks.

Posting transactions from your cell phone

November 1st, 2010 by Alan Mink No comments »

In the last week Barter 21, a software supplier to the barter industry, proudly boasted that they have installed new 2d bar code technology and are the the first ones with “These amazing features.”  Truth is anyone that is part of  The Trade Banc network has been able to do transactions from their cell phone for 2 years. Second point – 2D bar codes are very insecure so anyone could start to use someone else’s account (most people are now using 3D bar codes).

The Trade Alliance network is healty and strong, showing a gain of 906 members within the total of all exchanges using The Trade Alliance software and an additional 481 new members in August. Sales of all exchanges in the same 2 month period increased 23% over 2009. Over the next few weeks new software enhancements will be added as we strive to maintain our leadership role in the barter industry.

First 2 months sales in the network up 67%

March 28th, 2010 by Alan Mink No comments »

In the first 2 months of 2010 the total barter sales in The Trade Alliance network were up 67.3% from the previous year. These sales are for exchanges that were open for 1 year or more and do not include sales of new exchanges opened less than 1 year, showing again the strength of the barter industry in these terrible economic times. A good part too of the sales increase is due to the strength of the many exchanges within The Trade Alliance network that allow trading between members of one exchange with members of another exchange, greatly increasing goods and services available to all.

Barters growth in 2009 up substantially

March 27th, 2010 by Alan Mink No comments »

Of the exchanges using The Trade Alliance Barter software most had substantial growth from 2008 with a few exchanges exceeding 50% growth from 2008 to 2009. With the state of the economy and continued drop off in business for many businesses and increased expenses barter is posed for exceptional growth again in the future. As reported in the Wall Street Journal “Trade is the only business that has doubled every year since 1980″  If you are a business and you do not barter you need to start now and we can put you in touch with a barter exchange in your area. If you are thinking of starting a barter exchange The Trade Alliance has all the tools you need, free consultation as necessary, and can put you in the barter industries largest group of independant barter exchanges in the US.

Member Protection Plan

February 28th, 2010 by Alan Mink No comments »

Since it’s introduction a few months ago The Trade Banc Member Protection Plan has been well received. Under the plan any exchange that signs up for the plan, and all new exchanges that are automatically added can assure their members that should their exchange ever go out of business that the members barter dollars are safe and the member will be assigned to another exchange so business continues as usual. The member protection plan has no effect on an exchange should they sell their exchange or merge with another exchange and there is no cost to thte exchange for the Member Protection Plan.
